blind to affirmation of divinity in the evening sun's amen
![]() |
deaf to resplendent
alleluias
in ordinary things that happen
|
magenta hosannas each morning sun rises again |
|
the sacrament of rain those tears of the gods shed to wash away our pain |
|
eyes narrowed
we search for pillars of fire
and clouds in the sky
illiterate to prophecy
lightning writes before our eyes
![]() |
|
spider humbly spins her rosary dew drops prayer beads we don't see |
|
whispers softly of comfort and grace in intercession willow's branches sway and raise |
|
river sings hymns
and
stones shout praise!
![]() |
doe and fawn
wide eyed
lift ears in meadow sanctuary
|
|
|
come from the fringes to commune with the blessed bees who daily journey in spiraled labyrinths of flight
|
returning to rest in their honeyed temple
each night
all of creation wiser and less weary than
we humans with
uncorrected
spiritual myopia
